A look at the Prairie Collection
Embroidered lampshades, crafted from antique fabric and handmade in England.
Our first foray into gathered lampshades, these pretty shades are made using beautiful linens dating back to the 18th century. The collection borrows its name from Prairie dresses ~ evoking the magic of the ruffles, romantic silhouettes and delicate detailing seen on dresses of days gone by.
Since launching these lampshades last winter, we’ve been fortunate to connect with a wonderful fabric collector, allowing us to keep this collection as a permanent part of our offering, while stock last. Available in four sizes, they’re perfect for wall lights and table lamps.
We collected these special, hand-embroidered linens over the course of a couple of years after first falling in love with the delicate charm of the embroidery and imagining how well it would translate onto a lampshade. The fabrics are then hand stitched by our talented team - not an easy task when we're handing over a variety of pieces, each subtly unique, and all varying in size. Our makers have carefully crafted the Prairie lampshades to showcase the intricate details of the embroidery, casting a soft, dappled light that makes these shades particularly special on wall lights and bedside tables.
